Hi DeborahA,

You should start back on your vitamins right away. What herbs are you wanting to know about?

Did you miscarry? If you did I am sorry for your loss. Big hugs.

Hi Dalene,

Unfortunately I did. I was only 1-2 weeks pregnant when the doctor let me know. I'm almost positive that it was because of my low progesterone. Before I even knew I was pregnant I purchased Vitex, Primrose Oil, Maca powder, Spirulina, flax oil and Protein Powder. I was planning on starting my new healthy regimen along with the PCOS diet once I got my period. When I finally got my period I noticed it was very heavy and painful and my doctor told me that I had a miscarriage, but the good news is that I can get pregnant.

I have I blocked tube and PCOS so I didn't think I could get pregnant to begin with. He had me on Metformin and Clomid. Now he said that the next cycle I should take Metformin, Clomid and then Progesterone Suppositories after ovulation. What do you think?

I am not a medical doctor an will not tell you to go off of your medications. Please discuss this with your doctor. There are many supplements you can take while on fertility medications and you can also continue the PCOS Diet which will be very helpful. We do not recommend taking Vitex or Maca while on fertility medications, these herbs have the ability to directly affect hormones, but do not contain hormones themselves.

Have your read our PCOS Diet page and our Progesterone Fertility Guide? Those are two great places to start.
