Am I on the right track?

Am I on the right track?

Postby shelby1 » Fri Nov 06, 2009

I have stage 2 endo and I have been struggling to get pregnant for 6 years now. After two failed IUI's I became so frustrated with my body and wondered "Why isn't anything working". I decided I needed to take charge as Doctors weren't giving me any answers as to why I wasn't getting pregnant. From the help and advice I have found on your website I have a new approach on how to balance my hormones, distress, get rid of any scar tissue and inflammation. Here's what I'm doing:

Healthy diet rich in fruits, veggies, fiber and lots of water with lemon slices
Exercise every day
Liquid multi Vitamin, liquid iron, lot's of Omega 3's
B6, with the flu season here I've been taking extra Vit. D and garlic
Enzyme therapy, for inflammation and scare tissue
Caster Oil packs - after period till ovulation
Hypnosis CD and meditation
EPO and Royal Jelly after period till ovulation
Vitex and natural progesterone - day 12 till day 28 of cycle (as suggested by a hormone specialist)

I hope I'm on the right track with what I'm doing? Is there anything else I should do? The one thing I'm really concerned about is that I get period cramps about a week before period (what's that about)? I'm also working on getting rid of all the negative thought's I have every month (I get these nagging negative thoughts  and feelings that this is never going to happen for me) how do I get rid of that? Sorry for the long post, I just am at my wits end with all this TTC challenges and I've just been trying so hard to avoid the stress of having to do IVF!!!

Thank you so much for your wonderful website and help!!! :D

Hi Angie,

This all looks good. Remember to try and avoid congesting foods such as wheat and dairy.

Thanks for commiting to working toward changing your fertility for the better!

Thank you for the quick response!!!! I just have a couple more questions:

1) I was wondering why it is suggested not to take Vitex while on your period?

2) With the enzymes, is it O.K. to take then while you are pregnant? Just in case your issue is autoimmune or inflammation, I would think you would stay on the enzymes to prevent miscarriage!!

3)One more issue I was concerned about, last period I had (just started enzyme therapy) I had blood clots with a white tissue like substance(sorry TMI). Could this have been excess scare tissue braking away?

Thank you for your patients, I hope I'm not being a pest!!!

Hi Angi,

1) We recommend not taking any herbs or doing any natural therapies during your period. Your period is a time of cleansing and rest as your body is shedding blood and preparing for a new cycle.

2) Yes, you can stay on systemic enzymes during pregnancy to help prevent miscarriage.

3) It could have been, but I cannot say for sure. :)

All the best,

Dalene
