Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Postby zebramm » Fri Mar 06, 2009

I was recently (possibly) wrongly diagnosed with PID, which could have possibly have lead up to me having Blocked Fallopian Tubes. If I got pregnant now, I would be happy. My only concern is that it will somehow come unblocked later and I will get pregnant when I am much older than I want to be having children :o . Does anyone have any ideas of a non-medical remedy to either unblock it now, or can anyone tell me how likely it is for them to become "unblocked" later in life?

Hi zebramm,

I think it would be best to find out if you have PID for sure, get a second opinion if you feel you have been wrongly diagnosed. I think it may be highly unlikely for your tubes to become unblocked later in life if you do have PID and nothing is done to remedy the situation. It is important for you to know if your tubes are blocked, from your message you sound a little unclear as to what is going on for sure with your tubes.

One of the best therapies for scarring and blocked tubes is Fertility Enzyme Therapy. Fertility Enzyme Therapy (Zymessence) is a method for helping the body clear itself of excess tissue, breakdown scar tissues, cleanse the blood, increase circulation to the reproductive organs and reduce immunological response.

Please consult your health care practitioner to help determine your fertility challenges.

Hello,

I as well have been diagnosed with both of my tubes blocked, not necessarily due to PID, well at least I was not informed that I had PID, but I do know that previouse STD's might have been the culprit. I have done my research, because I too, do not want to go the route of any medical procedure and I feel that there is a natural way to resolving what sooo many women are facing in regards to fertility. I have came across herbal tampons as an options where it introduces, anit-bacterial and anit-inflammatory herbs directly into the tubes to help unblock, http://www.herbaltampons.com. Hope this helps.

Hi Natalie,
I too have been researching the herbal tampons, do you know if they are actually successful? I have two blocked tubes due to past surgeries and am almost desperate to try anything to get pregnant. I've been seeing an acupuncturist for a couple of months now and quite honestly am not feeling much difference. I did feel better in the begining but I think I'm gving up hope. :( Any advice on those tampons would be wonderful.

Thanks
Shelly

Hi, I am skeptical about the herbal tampons myself, but am also curious. I haven't truly heard any independent testimonials or research either way as to whether they are snake oil or can really do something to help. If they were to work, I would try them.

I have also heard of people making herbal suppositories. If you were to google it then you'd get all kinds of info on how to make them.

Thank you for the advice, I thought I'd just let you know what we've found out so far. I was getting ready to go have a test done (sorry can't remember what it's called) to check to see if my tubes were blocked, and AF was a few days late so I took a PT in March and to my suprise it was pos! Well the next day I started feeling bad in the evening but really didnt worry, until I went to restroom and I'd started bleeding some. The next day the dr said to go in and when they checked me they found out that I was having a MC.
I haven't had a regular AF yet, and the dr told me that as soon as I have a normal one I can try again.
The MC was sad, but at least I know I can still have another baby and the dr said that my tubes aren't totally blocked, or at least one of them isn't since i was able to get pregnant. Thank you to everyone who wrote back. I was starting to feel like I was alone with this problem. :)

I am so sorry to hear of your mc but am happy to hear of your additude and your ability to be able to get pregnant. I am glad that you have a tube that isn't totally blocked. It seems like hell to live with only one tube and it is blocked. I am glad you are in better straits than myself.

I will keep you in my prayers for a regular AF and send baby dust.

Hi everyone! ;) I was pregnant with twins in 2001 and miscarried. After trying to get pregnant for four years after my miscarrage I decided to take an HSG. In May 2006 my HSG showed that I had proximal tubal blockage in BOTH tubes. I was also told that I had a fibroid. On 10th of Jan I decided to do an abdominal Myo to remove them (there was Four: one big one consuming my uterus and three small ones) a day after my operation to remove the fibroids he told me that my tubes appeared to be normal. My doctor told me to try after three months post op to get pregnant, however we never did another HSG to determine if my tubes were clear after my Myo. My question is: does fibroids causes proximal tubal blockage?
You see, I don't want to be trying in vain to get pregnant and my tubes are still blocked after my Myomectomy.
