I've done a castor oil pack twice now. I did one, then started my cycle so I waited until after the cycle to do another (last night).

The day after both applications I noticed a "side affect". I am suffering from some "GI issues" (diarrhea -- SORRY!!! ). It last all day long, then stops and I won't have another "issue" until after I do another castor oil pack....???

I noticed that it says Castor oil packs help detox your organs, and know that you can experience some side affects from detoxing as your body is healing....one is GI affects. I'm taking it as a good sign, that not only have they reduced my cyst pain, and bloating but maybe they are detoxing my system as well?

But I'm wondering Is this a common side affect of castor oil packs?

(P.S. I have had no change in diet, herbs, or anything else that would cause this issue, I'm certain its due to the packs)

Yes Pam, this is a normal side effect of the castor oil. It has been traditionally used for constipation (taken internally, although I do not recommend to ingest it) also. It is a good side effect as cleaning the intestines is always good.
