Castor Oil

Postby bbdreams23 » Sat Sep 18, 2010

Hi Hethir or Dalene,

I am doing the fertility cleanse and following the diet as well taking Maca, Royal Jelly and Vitex, well I started the castor oil packs 3 days ago and I've noticed some slight cramps or a dull pain in my lower abdomen (nothing terrible) but the same signs when I'm going to have my period. It's mainly afterwards and even the next day. Is this normal? because I'm on CD16 and is too early to have my period.

Thanks for your response and thanks for this incredible website :P

Some women have experienced similar feelings when using the castor oil packs. The packs draw toxins and get blood flow moving. How often do you use them and for how long each time?

Vitex is not recommended during the cleanse.

Hi Dalene, I am using the castor oil packs every night for 45 min. It's too much? and about the vitex I should not take it with the Women's best friend pills either?
Thanks.

bbdreams23,

Hethir and I feel that the cleanse is a time to be resting, cleansing, detoxing and nourishing your body. Vitex's specific action is to help regulate the menstural cycle, we feel that it is best not taken that month, as many herbs are already being utilized by your body.

Even though Women's Best Friend is used in phase 3 of the cleanse does not mean they can not be used at the same time after the cleanse is over. If you are using WBF theraputically should be fine to use Vitex as well. Just a note, if you are using Fertilica Vitex Capsules, they contain some Dong Quai, so does WBF. You would not want to exceed the dosage of the Dong Quai, it should not be a problem as both products contain a small amount of Dong Quai. This may be a concern for someone with excessive bleeding during menstruation.

Using the packs for 45 min a day is quite some time. Reduce the time to 30 min and see if that changes how you feel. You go girl, I am proud of your consistent use of these packs, most women find it very hard to fit that much time in to heal their bodies.

Are you still feeling the pain?

Well the pain is gone. I stopped the vitex already and I'm going to reduce the time of the oil packs to 30 min. Thanks Dalene for your advice :)
