Fertility cleanse after miscarriage

Postby akk » Wed Dec 30, 2009

I recently had a miscarriage and would like to begin the fertility cleanse. How long should I wait before starting? Do I need to wait until my first period or until my hcg levels get to below 5? I have had multiple miscarriages in the past and it always takes me a long time to get my first period.

Hi Akk,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I would wait a couple of months before beginning a Fertility Cleanse. Let your body heal and rest first.

Have you read our Recurrent Miscarriages page? This page is full of useful treatments for working towar preventing another miscarriage.

Thank you for the info and the quick reply. I just found this website recently and have been trying to read as much as possible. I have read your information about recurrent miscarriages. My history is that I don't know the cause of my first (no tests were done), and the second and third miscarriages were found to be trisomy 16. As for this one (my fourth), it was very early but there's a chance it was ectopic. After my third, I had many tests run to rule out blood clotting issues as well as genetic problems, and everything came back negative. The doctor said it could be the health of my eggs (I'm 34 yrs old), or it could just be bad luck.

Although I started out with amazing luck! I have a beautiful and extremely healthy 5-year-old boy who I had on the first try without any problems. I know I am blessed that I was able to have him before struggling with fertility problems.

Since I don't have any specific issues to address, I was going to do the cleanse as well as castor oil packs, maca and the fertility smoothies. Do you think this is a good plan of action? I do want to have another child, but I also just want to get to a healthier place.

Thank you,
akk

Hi akk,

Sounds like a great place to start. We always recommend combining any herbs/therapies with a Natural Fertility Diet.

Warmly,
