Hi Carrie,
Wow, I could go on and on about why you should not use Mineral Oil on your skin. "Mineral oil or liquid petroleum is a by-product in the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline and other petroleum based products from crude oil."* Your skin is the largest organ in the body, it protects us from many harmful things, but it also absorbs much of what we put on it. I would not want to put a by-product of petroleum on my body. Mineral oil absorbs slowly into the skin. Mineral oil can clog pores, pores also eliminate toxins from our bodies. Clogging them makes it harder for our bodies to rid of toxins and waste. To learn more about Mineral Oil go to this link: http://www.herballuxuries.com/mineral-oil.htm I really loved this article because it sums up everything I would like to say but don't have the time or room to write about.
Sesamae oil has wonderful benefits and is highly absorbed through the skin. Sesamae oil reduces oxidation thus helps prevent sun damage to skin. It is also low in impurities. It is also high in monounsaturated fat.
There are tons of great massage oils out there- sweet almond, grapeseed, hazelnut, jojoba, coconut, macadamia nut, try one out or combine them.
