Delayed AF after Cleanse and addition of Supplements

Postby mstross » Thu Jul 15, 2010

Hey everyone
I was just wondering if after doing the Fertility Cleanse or with the addition of some of the other suggested supplements if anyone else experienced a delay in getting their next period? I just finished the Cleanse approximately a week and a half ago. I ran out of both the Conception Tea and the Women's Best Friend before my period came. So I started taking the Zymessence and the Prenancy Prep like I was planning to anyway. I'm going on a week and a half of that now and still no period. I am 38 years old and have always had long cycles, 31 days but they have always been consistent. Never late or missing one unless I've been pregnant. I'm getting a little worried it's CD 39 making my period at least 8 days late. And just in case you're wondering the obvious...No I'm not possibly pregnant. My husband and I are taking a break. The month before starting the Cleanse (May 5th) we just had our 9th MC and my HCG levels were monitored to zero. I'm hoping I have not brought this on myself by taking the additional supplements at an incorrect time. I am taking the dose suggested on the bottle for both the Zymessence and the Pregnancy Prep. I am also taking the Oil and a Prenatal Vitamin. Take care all, mstross

mstross,

Beginning the Pregnancy Prep may or may not have delayed your period. It contains herbs, some of which are to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Sometimes it take 2-3 cycles for you cycle to regulate. Doing the Fertility Cleanse does not gurantee a period at the end of it. It is perfectly fine if you did not get your period, don't worry too much you are not the only one. Just contine on with the Pregnancy Prep. The more you stress out about it the more likely you are not going to get your AF. :(

The Zymessence should not effect your cycle. Let me know if you are need some more support or have more questions.

Thanks again Dalene for your prompt reply! I was just concerned b/c I have never missed a period or been late unless I have been pregnant. Even though my cycles are long they are regular. So I was fully expecting my next cycle to start July 7th whether I was doing a cleanse or not. When it didn't come, (I had slight spotting this morning so I think it's on it's way) the only thing this last month I have done differently was the cleanse and the addition of the supplements. My husband and I have made the decision to stop actively TTC while we try the supplements for at least 3 months. I will continue to take the Zymessence and Pregnancy Prep along with the others mentioned in my previous post. I will be adding in MACA, VITEX and L-Arginine gradually. Thanks for your reassurance and thank you so much for this site and all the time and energy you spend responding to us all. You have been an invaluable resource for me in my time of need. And I appreciate that so much. Bless you and Hethir both! One more thing, if I were to partake in the consultation, who would be responding to me? Would that person be you? If it is a different person, is this person also a trained/practiced herbalist? Take care all, mstross

Thanks so much, it is nice to hear your kind words of support!

At this time I am responding to consultations.

Many women experience a few cycles that are not quite right when beginning the herbs you are taking.

Have a wonderful day.
