I am a 38 year old female who was diagnosed as being premenopausal in 2011. It was recommended to me that I freeze my eggs for future use. At that time I was single and had no desire to have a child so the diagnosis had very little effect on me and, needless to say, I did not freeze my eggs. After marrying in March 2013, my husband and I decided to attempt to conceive. We understood that time was not on our side, so we began trying six months into our marriage. I’d been on BC pills for over twenty years at that point and I suddenly stopped having a period in May (2013). I stopped taking the pill in August fully expecting to NOT conceive. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that I was pregnant during a routine GYN appointment in Oct. (We conceived in late Sept.) However, since I hadn’t had a period in months, never been pregnant before and my last home pregnancy test was negative, I had no clue!!! Sadly, I miscarried in Dec. After being told numerous times that I’d never even conceive, I never guessed that I’d conceive and then miscarry. My hormones and my emotions were all over the place. No one could give me an explanation and that really frustrated me.
So, I began my research. I obtained so much knowledge from Natural Fertility Info. com. I came to terms with my situation and decided that even if I couldn’t have a child, I still needed/wanted to have the best hormonal health possible. I began taking a number of herbs for hormonal balance and fertility. (just in case) I’ve taken Dong Quai, Damiana, Vitex, Royal Jelly, Wild Yam, Maca and Red Raspberry. After three months, I am pleased to report that I’ve received my first period in a year!!!! (A REAL ONE!!!) It just so happened that I had labs drawn just days before and my hormones are closer to being normal. The wonderful thing is that my FSH is down to 20. (from 82 in April) My doctor told me that, per my labs, she believed that I’d ovulated!!! While this isn’t a testimonial about being pregnant (yet), I thank God for the information provided by Hethir and her team. I feel healthy and sane again!!! I am looking forward to having the opportunity to share more in the months to come. Thank you so much!!!!
