I got pregnant with our first son in 2016. We weren’t even trying when I got pregnant. Then when he turned 1, we started trying for #2. I got pregnant within the same month, but had a miscarriage after only a few weeks. Since then we have been trying for over 2 years.

With no success in the the first few months after the miscarriage, I started using OPKs to track my fertile days. We tried just those for awhile and then I started acupuncture. I did acupuncture for months and still no success. I started looking online at success stories and happen to come across the natural fertility website.

I was really hesitant at first because of the cost and also there were a lot of different products so I wasn’t sure what to get. I put it off for a few months and then my husband and I started talking about seeing a doctor to start fertility treatments.

We decided we would see a fertility doctor if I didn’t get pregnant by October 2019. So I decided I was going to try the egg health kit in June. I didn’t really start the kit till July because my husband was out of the country.

Along with the kit, I YouTubed self fertility massages that I did daily and still continued with acupuncture. In August my period was late (and it always starts on time) so I tested and found out I was pregnant!!

We are due with baby boy #2 April 2020!

👉 This is how I make my sea moss gel..

1️⃣ Gather Ingredients & Tools:
1 cup (35g) raw dried sea moss
51 fl oz (1½ liters) water for washing and soaking
1 cup (240ml) water for blending
A blender or food processor
A large bowl
A clean glass jar with a lid

2️⃣ Clean & Rinse:
Add the dried sea moss to a large bowl with a few cups of spring water.
Massage gently with your fingers to remove any dirt or debris. The water will turn cloudy.
Rinse and drain the sea moss thoroughly.

3️⃣ Soak:
Place the cleaned sea moss back into the bowl and cover it with plenty of spring water.
Allow it to soak for 12-24 hours. This helps soften and hydrate the sea moss, turning it lighter in color.

4️⃣ Blend:
Drain the soaked sea moss and add it to a blender with 1 cup of fresh water.
Blend until smooth. For a looser consistency, add more water gradually, one tablespoon at a time.

5️⃣ Store:
Pour the blended gel into a sealable glass jar.
Refrigerate for up to 2-3 weeks. It will thicken as it chills.
For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays and transfer cubes to a freezer bag once solid.

It can contribute to:

❗ Uterine fibroids
❗ Thick uterine lining

The causes are multiple, but the good news is there are solutions.... AND nutrition is one of the most effective.

Here are 6 foods that reduce estrogen dominance:

🌱 Broccoli:
Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, turnip greens, Bok choy, wasabi, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage, greens, and cauliflower, which are high in indole-3-carbinol and diindolylmethane (DIM) that help regulate estrogen metabolism.

🌱 Flax Seed:
Eating foods high in fiber, lignins and omega 3’s are all important for reducing excess estrogens. Flax is a great source of all these nutrients. 1-2 Tablespoons a day, ground is all you need.

🌱 Flax Seed:
Eating foods high in fiber, lignins and omega 3’s are all important for reducing excess estrogens. Flax is a great source of all these nutrients. 1-2 Tablespoons a day, ground is all you need.

🌱 Leafy Greens:
Eat foods high in vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and folate and leafy greens are some of the best sources. Think spinach, kale, swiss chart, etc.

🌱 Legumes & beans:
Legumes and beans are both foods high in fiber (and a bunch of other fertility supportive nutrients). Fiber helps the body to get rid of excess estrogen from the body. They also help you to stay regular which is important to prevent estrogen from recirculating.

🌱 Maca:
One of my favorite herbs to help with estrogen balance. It supports the endocrine function and helps with hormone balance.

🌱 Whole grains:
Foods like brown rice, quinoa, millet, etc are all foods that are rich in fiber and b vitamins. Both important for estrogen metabolism - helping to regulate estrogen levels.

Adding these foods to your diet is a great step to begin overcoming estrogen dominance.
