Elizabeth’s Success Story
There is nothing quite as painful as a pregnancy loss. Most women don’t expect their menstrual cycles, emotions, and life to become quite so chaotic after a miscarriage, but this is what happened to Elizabeth. Despite all that she was going through, she decided to figure out a solution and get her life back on track, so she could go on to have a healthy pregnancy. This is her story…
“I felt more at ease for actually doing something that could help my fertility.” |
Name: Elizabeth
Age: 21
Number of years trying to get pregnant? 9 months
“Hope After Loss”
What was your fertility journey prior to finding Natural-Fertility-Info.com and the NaturalFertilityShop.com?
I got married in February of ’13, got pregnant in April, and lost the baby at the end of June at 12 weeks. My husband and I were told that we’d likely get pregnant again soon after, but nothing happened.
My periods became slightly irregular, always popping up at exactly the wrong moment. I was worried and wanted to know what was wrong with us, why we weren’t getting pregnant again. A lot of prayers were said by a lot of people.
What information and products made the difference for you?
My mother sent me the link to the NFS, and I began investigating potential causes for my lack of conception. I believe I’ve had a hormonal imbalance due to stress, poor diet, and a food allergy, which over the past several months I’ve slowly been correcting. I bought vitex, maca, and evening primrose oil, as well as red clover tea to prepare my body for pregnancy.
Which products did you take and for how long?
I took the vitex first, and this helped to regulate my periods, made me breathe a little easier. I took this for two months, but when nothing more concrete happened, I’m afraid I gave up and put it away for a time. Recently I purchased the EPO, maca, and tea and have been more faithful with their application. I also bought a whole foods prenatal and started taking cod liver oil.
What changes and benefits did you experience from taking the products?
I felt more at ease for actually doing something that could help my fertility. I wasn’t fretting so much over whether I was going to get pregnant this month or not, or worrying that I was a ticking clock that would run out before I had a chance to start a family with my husband. I began doing some fertility yoga, as well as massage, and this helped with cramps and mood swings. Today, three days past when I expected to get my period, I took a pregnancy test (the latest in a long line, I was starting to have a phobia for negative answers) and got two lines! Pregnant at last!
What is some advice would you give others going through their fertility journey?
I would say keep praying! God is the Author of life, and no matter what products you take, what exercises you do, He is always the one who will decide whether or not you will get pregnant. Trust Him with every desire of your heart, and pray the prayer that never fails; ‘Thy will be done.’
Is there anything else you would like to share?
Don’t forget to enjoy your husband while you are on this journey together. He is just as concerned as you with your health or his, though he may not necessarily display as you do (Thank you, Lord, that men tend to be less dramatic that women!).
Update 5/14/14: My pregnancy is going well- lots of nausea which was not present in my previous pregnancy loss. I am a little over eight weeks along and have an appointment with a midwife at the end of this month when I hope to hear the baby’s heartbeat.
How are you and your baby doing now? How old is your baby now?
7/1/15: My baby and I are wonderful! We are breastfeeding, which helped me get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and has helped him become a fat and happy little boy, even though he was born a bit too early and struggled to gain weight for the first couple weeks. His name is Milo, he is 6 and a half months old, and one of the greatest joys of my life- the sweetest little boy a girl could ask for!
