Helga’s fertility journey came with many ups and downs. Through her determination to conceive and carry a healthy pregnancy (and research), she realized the importance of relaxing and allowing time for her natural fertility program to be effective.

What was your fertility journey prior to finding Natural-Fertility-Info.com and the NaturalFertilityShop?:

I have always had regular periods, even after removing the IUD which I had for 5 years. My cycles were 26 or 27 days, not a day longer. I started seeing my now fiancé and we had 2 oops occasions in which we decided I should take Plan B (morning after pill), and after the second time my cycles became more irregular…. So irregular that a few months later I became pregnant (unplanned), but miscarried at 9 weeks. Fast forward 2 years (October 2015) and my cycles were now anywhere between 20 and 36 days and once we decided to start trying I felt I needed to do something to become regular again.

This was why I came across a ttc forum where a woman said she went to the Natural Fertility Info site and used Vitex which helped her regulate her cycles and get pregnant. I researched it and decided to try it, and by January I was pregnant. I miscarried 8 days after the BFP and this one was devastating, much worse than the first one. I cried for weeks, felt worthless and couldn’t understand why my body couldn’t hold a baby to term, but I suspect it was because I weaned too fast from Vitex.

So, we were so desperate that we started BDing [baby dancing] again 10 days after the mc (I ovulated 14 days after mc), all the way to 25 days after the mc, but it didn’t stick. We tried again the next cycle and nothing. The cycle after I took clomid which I figured would increase my chances of getting pregnant. At this point I was still heartbroken over the mc and wanted nothing more than to get pregnant, so I went with Clomid which was prescribed to me many months before, but I never took it at the time. That was probably the most stressful cycle ever because I put so much pressure on myself and my fiancé, and of course, it didn’t work. So after the stress of Clomid, I decided to take 2 months off from ttc and just relax. I immediately started taking Vitex again because I wanted my body to return to normal after Clomid.

I didn’t have any horrible side effects from it except some discomfort during ovulation which made it almost impossible to have intercourse. Anyways, first month off I restarted Vitex and the second month off I did the Fertility Cleanse while still on Vitex. I also did some yoga, fertility massage and acupuncture. I wanted this month to be about taking care of me and my body. I should also say that I took 6 weeks off work and stayed home and just relaxed.

Low and behold, my fertility cleanse supplements were near the end and my period hadn’t arrived. So, just for the heck of it I took a pregnancy test and I got a BFP! Took a different brand on the same day and still BFP, so it’s official, I’m pregnant again, 1 week before my 36th birthday! I’m excited beyond words.

I had so many negative thoughts during this 9 month journey and kept thinking that at my age it gets harder every month… but miracles do happen. We just gotta keep believing and doing the best for our bodies to carry our little ones.

What information and products made the difference for you?:

Vitex definitely was THE product for me. It is an amazing herb. I believe this herb helped me get pregnant both times. The Fertility Cleanse was also a great addition for me since I know I had liver stagnation from doing extensive TCM research.

Which products did you take and for how long?:

– Vitex for 2 months
– Fertility cleanse 1 month

What changes and benefits did you experience from taking the products?:

Vitex regulated my cycles and reduced cramps and PMS. Fertility cleanse – no ovulation cramps or twinges and absolutely no pregnancy symptoms. I would have never suspected if I hadn’t taken a pregnancy test.

What is some advice would you give others going through their fertility journey?:

Keep believing and never lose hope! Research research research, and invest in the Fertility Cleanse! Your liver will thank you and you will be glad you made that investment once you get your desired BFP. Personally I would also suggest researching Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, I think it did wonders for me.

Is there anything else you would like to share?:

Try and relax, really! It’s easier said than done, I know, but it is a key thing! Switch from hard rock to jazz, from horror movies to comedies, from watching tv to going for a long walk with your dog. Spend quality time with your husband, go on dates, tickle each other, just try and smile a lot. Life is beautiful and you want your future baby to be conceived in a happy atmosphere, so try and have a happy environment and enjoy life.
