5 Easy Ways To Add Nutrients To The Male Fertility Diet

5 Easy Ways To Add Nutrients To The Male Fertility Diet

If you’re looking for creative ways to add nutrients to the Male Fertility Diet, this article is for you. We all get busy or overwhelmed with work, social obligations and our daily lives. Yet, diet is one area where you can’t afford to skimp on your fertility journey. Poor eating habits can really slow down the success of any natural fertility program.

The male reproductive system needs strong nutrition in order to be healthy, supported, and and to function at its peak. High antioxidant foods are necessary to help counter the damaging effects of free radicals on sperm health. Specific nutrients are important for healthy testosterone production and male hormonal balance, not to mention libido. Yes, vitamins and minerals can support a healthy libido. If you’re struggling to make your Male Fertility Diet work with your busy lifestyle, here are some easy tips to add more nutrient-dense foods to the meals you eat every day.

1. Fertility Smoothies. They’re not just for women. Fertility Smoothies are an excellent place to add more nutrients to your diet. Get creative!

  • Sneak in a handful of kale or spinach if you tend to run low on your daily 5-7 servings of vegetables.
  • Include a whey or vegetarian protein powder for a nutritional boost. Protein is an important building block for fertility health and will help keep your energy high all day.
  • Add 1 tsp. Maca root (Lepidium meyennii) powder to promote sperm health and libido.

You can transport your smoothie to work discreetly in a stainless-steel container or whatever feels comfortable to you.

2. Have a green drink! A daily green drink with FertiliGreensTM or another superfood mix every day provides high chlorophyll and antioxidants. Chlorophyll helps cleanse the bloodstream and protects against free radical damage to the reproductive system. I like to add FertiliGreensTM to a cup of half organic apple juice and half water or coconut water. You can also add FertiliGreensTM to your morning smoothie if you’re feeling rushed.

3. Eat nuts and seeds. Nuts and seeds are power foods for male fertility. They supply rich plant protein and essential fats. Some like pumpkin, sunflower, and sesame seeds also provide zinc to directly support male fertility. Raw pumpkin seeds are an especially rich source of zinc, with about 2.57 mg of zinc per 1/4 cup (that’s 17.1 % of the daily RDA.) Purchase a blend of fresh, raw nuts and seeds every week. Pack a few handfuls in your lunch or keep them at home for a healthy snack. You can roast them if you like. Just use a little herbal seasoning and roast at 375 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Roasted pumpkin seeds are delicious and much better for your fertility than crackers or chips!

4. Add extra veggies to “on the go” foods. Extra veggies added to homemade wraps, sandwiches or healthy burritos boost their nutritional punch. Some good choices for extra nutrition:

  • organic bell peppers
  • zucchini or squash slices
  • sliced carrots
  • corn
  • roasted sweet potato
  • broccoli

These foods provide antioxidant carotenoids, Vitamin C and other fertility nutrients. They also offer a satisfying crunch and help keep you more hydrated through the day.

5. Take a Men’s Multivitamin every day. It can be very challenging to get all the nutrients you need for fertility and general health from diet alone. Don’t skimp on your diet, but offer yourself extra insurance by taking a quality, whole-food men’s multivitamin every day. Most men feel an immediate difference in their energy from this choice alone.

Do Yourself a Favor. Make Eating Well Easy!

It takes care and forethought to follow a Male Fertility Diet. However, you can ease the process by making a few simple but consistent changes. Try the recommendations in this article, and you will see and feel the difference. A high-nutrient diet means more energy, stronger libido, and a healthy, more vital reproductive system. Changing your diet changes virtually every area of your health, including your fertility.
