Throughout a woman’s reproductive years, there may be times when her monthly menstrual cycle decides to take a leave of absence. Typically, a missing period is a clear sign of pregnancy, but what should a woman do if her period goes missing when she is not pregnant? How can a woman get her menstrual cycle back?
We have many, many women contact us daily asking about ways to help bring back a missing period. Our founder, Hethir Rodriguez, saw a great need for a truly effective way to help women support their body in jump-starting the menstrual period. From that great need she formulated RejuvaFlow, a liquid blend of 5 herbal extracts designed to encourage or “re-start” a woman’s monthly menses that has been missing due to hormonal irregularities.
The women that we speak with daily are inquisitive, asking many good questions about using herbs to bring back their missing menstrual cycles, so many great questions we have compiled this Q&A…

1. Q: Hi, My period has been missing for many months, but I am not sure if RejuvaFlow is right for me or if another herbal product would be best. Who is RejuvaFlow for?
A: Great question. It is true, there are many herbs that are good for helping a woman’s body to regulate menstruation. It can be confusing. RejuvaFlow has specific actions that are targeted to help women begin to promote regular menstruation after many months (cycles) of missing their menstrual period due to hormonal issues.
Examples:
- Missing period when coming off of hormonal birth control
- High levels of daily stress
- Hormonal fluctuations leading to an absent cycle
RejuvaFlow may not be a good choice for women who have a lack of menstruation due to nutritional deficiencies, elevated or low BMI, or are perimenopausal or menopausal.
There are a variety of different reasons a woman’s period may cease such as nutritional deficiencies, emotional and mental stress, etc. If you are unsure why your period is missing, we have a great article to help you learn about the causes of absent periods. This article also includes additional information on ways to promote a healthy menstrual cycle.

Knowing why your period has stopped is going to help you determine which herbs/herbal formulas to work with. Herbs work best if other areas of your life are in place first, as well, such as nutrition, exercise and stress management.
2. Q: I had a miscarriage recently and I am considering using RejuvaFlow to help bring my period back? Is this okay?
A: First, I am sorry for your loss! Typically, a woman’s body, mind and heart need a little time to recover from the miscarriage. Normally, her body will start her monthly menstrual cycle when it’s ready. We find that utilizing herbs and natural therapies for recovery wellness during miscarriage and the month post-loss, will help a woman’s body to bring back a healthy menstrual cycle when the time is right. We don’t feel that the focus or concern should be “starting” the menstrual cycle again. That being said, if a woman’s menstrual cycle is still missing after several months post-miscarriage and everything has checked out as normal by her healthcare provider, RejuvaFlow may then be considered as an option.
3. Q: I used RejuvaFlow to help bring my period back, and it worked, but what do I do now? Why is it suggested to be used only until you see your period return?
A: Depending on your fertility history, in general, we find that it is best for most women to have a longer-term menstrual health plan in place for at least 3-6 months after discontinuing RejuvaFlow. To help promote a regular menstrual cycle long-term, there are several key areas to have in place… be sure you are getting adequate nutrition by eating a nutrient dense fertility diet (including a high quality multivitamin), drinking plenty of water, engaging in moderate daily exercise, and working to maintain a healthy BMI. In addition, it is helpful to include supportive herbs or herbal formulas to help promote a regular menstrual cycle.
Herbs and herbal formulas we find work well to help maintain a healthy menstrual cycle:
- Vitex (Vitex agnus-castus)
- Maca (Lepidium meyenii)
- FertiliCare Phase 1 & 2
- Fem Rebalance – for more dramatic hormonal irregularities
- Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis)
Here is an example of what I mean…
➞ Month 1: Rejuvaflow
➞ Month 2-6: FertiliCare Phase 1 & 2
Some of the herbs in RejuvaFlow are quite strong and not suggested for long-term consumption. This is why it is best to discontinue the formula once menstruation has come back.
4. Q: I am so excited, I have been taking RejuvaFlow and I feel like it is working, I have been experiencing sensations like my period is going to start and I have been experiencing some spotting, do I stop RejuvaFlow now or once there is a full flow?
A: Spotting is a good sign that the body is responding to the herbs. It is best to continue RejuvaFlow until full flow is achieved.
5. Q: Hello there, I have been missing my period for over a year after coming off of the birth control pill. I had been on the bc pill for the past 6 years. I am wondering is it better to start with the Fertility Cleanse and then start RejuvaFlow or go straight to RejuvaFlow?
A: This is a good question and can be a bit tricky to answer, as there is no one “right way” to work to bring a missing period back. In the case of long-term birth control use, we find that fertility cleansing is really important to the health of the body, especially the liver, which plays a critical role in hormone balance. The liver has to metabolize the synthetic hormones in birth control. It can be very taxing on the liver to take hormonal medications, especially long-term. Phase 1 of the Fertility Cleanse focuses on the health of the liver to help encourage natural, normal hormone regulation.
The part that can be confusing for women when wondering which is better to start with – Fertility Cleansing or RejuvaFlow, is how the phases of the Fertility Cleanse are set up. The Fertility Cleanse phases follow the typical timing of a normal menstrual cycle (28-day cycle). Phase 1 of the Fertility Cleanse begins the day after a woman’s period ends, but for women who do not have a period, they can begin the Fertility Cleanse on any day they chose.
If, after doing the Fertility Cleanse a woman’s periods doesn’t return, the following month (cycle) would be a good time to begin RejuvaFlow. Sometimes the body needs a little more encouragement to bring back a regular menstrual cycle.
The above information could also be reversed, what matters most when coming off hormonal birth control is to cleanse the body of excess hormones and support the body in bringing back a healthy menstrual cycle.
